Wow sunshine in the Northwest. It is some what surprising to see the sun! kids play, we work. Some weirdo called today to tell me its obvious to him that the name change and paint color change haven't helped business at all. I thanked him for his input and said goodbye. We then proceeded to have the best weekday yet numbers wise. We must be doing something right! Thanks again to all of our loved ones and friends for your support! Loving life, we celebrated Eric's 38th birthday here at our plae since we don't leave Kingston. We had our best day yet today! Thanks to all the support of our loved ones and new friends our business is looking to be a success! I will continue to work hard and continue building! Love you ALL!

This is the last picture taken of myself, my dad and my brother together. I think this was also the last time we were all together. I think of him often. I have a lot of peace in my heart knowing that he is free of his body. You never know when your last picture together will be taken.

So two entries in one week thats a record for me.
I wish I had more to talk about other than coffee but that is the main subject here at the Andersons! We are so busy now I need back up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have called on my good friend Jen to help out on Saturdays. I hired a little cutie Jess [(who happens to be my old boss Tim's buddys niece) we like to keep it in the family] to work on Sundays and Mark has been known to make a sandwich or two. As a matter of fact he now has his own apron!!!!! He thought I was crazy when I told him he has to wear an apron but I say those are the rules!
Mark got a new toy this week. It is a vinyl cutter so we can now do all of our own signs. I tell you that Mr. Mark is some kind of crazy do-it-yourselfer!

SO on a more personal note the kids are amazing! Peri getting smarter and sweeter every day. Quinn's talking and playing like a 4 year old. They still love the shop and i love having them with me. This is a true mom and pop joint!

Last night we colored eggs and other fun eastery stuff with the kids and this morning they will wake up to the baskets of goodies that the good old bunnie kindly left for them. We will have our shop open today from 9 to 2 or whenever we choose to close. We had planned to hunt for the eggs that the bunnie had hid in the garden at the shop but it is pouring down rain. They might have to put oon their rain coats and do the search anyway.

So, I just want to say I love my god daughter but somehow I forgot her birthday I suppose the coffee is running interference in my brain.

Where did Quinn go?

So 45 days into the shop and business still improves weekly. We couln't be happier! We have so much to do, so we squeeze as much as we can into each and every day.
This year started with a bang! not only did we buy a coffee shop but my sweet grandma has beat cancer once again! My mom has a lot on her plate taking care of her since her memory is gets worse and worse.
This last February was quite intresting we worked very hard, I lost my dad to an abdominal anurism (sp?) and then I had a birthday. All of it went by like a blur!
We hope that all is well with our loved ones and look forward to our next visit with all of our friends and family!

Today is day 22 ( no i'm not counting!) Each week the shop gets a little busier and a little easier to run. Although we are getting close to starting the remodel and that could be a bit crazy! The shop keeps its self alive and eventually it will pay its owners. I can't wait for you all to see my home away from home. I got up early this morning so thats why I have the time to do this. I will try to post more pictures next time I wake up early. (sunday shop hours are 7-4) So getting up early meant5:30 instead of the 6 am sunday wake up. Allright love to you all!!!!!

Today is Sunday! Now we have just 6 days until we take possession of our new Coffee shop. We are very excited and work hard every day making signs, taking care of paperwork, redoing price lists, product lists, and all the other lists and plans that come with owning your own business. We look forward to seeing you all at our shop!!!!!

Friday 1/ 18/08 my grandmother Pearl 88 years old had surgery and by the end of the day was sitting up in a chair with a smile on her face. The doctor seems very optomistic and should be able to go home by wednesday. I am sooo proud of her!

Last night we signed a contract to buy our own coffee shop. We are happy! It is currently a drive thru but we will transform it into a walk in/ drive thru combo with some excellent service. We will start showing pictures of the transformation so keep watching to see what we do next.

So I'm (Amy) 33 years old! I have an amazing family and a wonderful life, but yesterday I fully realized my grandmother whom I dearly love isn't really with us anymore. She is somewhat healthy for 89 and pretty happy, but no longer lives in 2007. I'm sure where her resting brain is, is a wonderful place. A place of great happy times. Without a short term memory I imagine every day is filled full of confusion when interacting with others and happy memories when alone. I love my grandmother and as long as shes happy thats all that matters!

Last weekend we got together with our friends we met in birthing class. The kids are now 4 and we all still have a great time when we get together. This time the kids had tricycle races and rolled down a hill together. Mira and Peri played dress up while Wil and Javy did boy stuff. It was the Lincoln Logs that finally brought them all together.

Tonight Peri said that Jon Bon Jovi looks like her uncle Craig. We love that she said that.

A couple of nights ago she named her new little bear (a birthday gift from a girlfriend). Making her papa proud without any coaxing she named him "chicken wing". You would think we eat a lot of chicken wings around here or somethin'.

The things these kids do, its just great! At the end of the night we get to reflect on the crazy things they say and do. What fun!

Our Texas Trip!

So we did some multi tasking while on our trip to Texas. We squeezed in lots of family time, a trip to Dinosaur Valley, the Dallas Zoo, Old City Park (in Dallas),a lay over in Memphis and a lay over in Minneapolis. We had a fabulous time visiting family in Texas. One of our highlights there was in a Dairy Queen when my brother tried to use the bathroom but got a surprise instead. He opened the door and there was a man in his hat and boots naked on the pot. We can only assume that's how they do it in Texas.
So I can now say I've been to Memphis (Mark disagrees). Our 1 1/2 lay over in Memphis airport had the lovely smell of Barbecue.
Our much anticipated lay over in Minneapolis was filled with the enjoyment of our close friends The Appells (www.aimeeandnelson.blogspot.com).

We are preparing for our first and probably last family trip to TX. When people ask why Dallas? I tell the truth. Family! We can think of a lot better places to spend a family vacation which reminds me that i'm going to have to bring up the idea of having family gatherings somewhere worth vacationing. I do look forward to showing my family the town I was born in, the house I spent my first 12 years (where I rode dirt bikes, went to school, our special fort in the hedge between our house and the neighbors, main street where the hands across america went through our town) and all the fun memories that helped me become who I am. So wish us luck! We're going to the Big "D"
